OUR EXPERTISE

Digital expertise for institutions and organisations

Founded in 2019, Atomic Design works with organisations on websites and web platforms, visual identity, communication materials, digital tools and focused automation. The work connects clear information, coherent presentation and functions that support real organisational needs.

The objective is to make an organisation easier to understand, easier to contact and better equipped to publish and manage its digital work.

I am Bernard Coubeaux, a designer, developer and the founder of Atomic Design. I created the studio in 2019 to support organisations through the full course of a digital project: assessment, structure, implementation and ongoing improvement.

From the first discussion to delivery, I remain your direct point of contact. My role is to understand the need, structure an appropriate response, produce the useful elements and keep the whole project coherent.

When a project requires it, I can also bring in complementary specialists in development, writing, photography, video or marketing, adding the right expertise without multiplying unnecessary intermediaries.

Expertise connecting identity, information and digital tools

Graphic design & identity

Logos, visual systems, documents and print materials that give an organisation a coherent and credible presentation.

Audiovisual & motion design

Video, motion and visual narratives used when movement or explanation helps make a message clearer and more engaging.

Print & real-world communication

Experience with production, perceived quality and the way information and services are presented across physical materials and real contexts.

Web development & digital tools

Websites, forms, internal tools, dashboards and focused web applications that support publishing, coordination and recurring work. On Smart Village Network, the work included application architecture, structured data, the member directory, search and filtering.

What this combined approach changes

The work can address the point that is actually causing friction: a website that does not explain the organisation clearly, content that is difficult to maintain, a form that collects too little useful information or a workflow that needs a more focused digital tool.

The same approach can address very different structures. For the European Fair Play Movement, the work focused on information architecture and the hierarchy between news, awards, members and activities. For Atelier 34zero, exhibitions, events, practical information and editorial content had to be organised within the same structure.

The work can also focus directly on search visibility. For Imprimerie Ceuterick, Atomic Design reworked the SEO architecture, service-focused pages, content and internal linking; Google Search impressions subsequently increased by a factor of 5.5 across two consecutive 28-day periods.

The aim is a digital presence that is clearer to understand, easier to use and practical for the team to maintain and develop over time.

Information that explains the work

Pages and content answer real audience questions sooner, making the organisation, project or service easier to understand.

More useful enquiries

Clear journeys and forms help people provide more relevant information and give the team a better starting point for follow-up.

A foundation that can evolve

After launch, the website, content structure or digital tool can be reviewed and improved as needs and evidence change.

Direct project leadership from assessment to implementation

Atomic Design follows a straightforward method: understand the organisation and its audiences, clarify priorities, build what will be useful and maintain or improve it when the context evolves.

Understand before producing

Each project starts by clarifying audiences, content, current friction, operational constraints and the decisions that matter first.

Connect the right elements

Identity, content, website structure, forms and tools are considered together so that communication and use do not drift apart.

Keep direct responsibility

You work directly with Bernard Coubeaux from the first discussion through structural, design and implementation decisions.

Build useful solutions

Every deliverable should have a clear role: explain the organisation, improve access to information, support an enquiry or simplify recurring work.

“My role is to keep your identity, information, website and tools moving in the same direction, with decisions that are useful and applicable.”

Real projects, very different contexts

A community platform, an organisational website, a cultural website and a measurable SEO project: four examples of work shaped around different content, users and requirements.
